Abstract
Tema COVID-19, nafte i rata u Ukrajini odražava složenu dinamiku globalnih događaja u posljednjim godinama. Pandemija COVID-19, koja je izbila krajem 2019. godine, brzo se proširila širom svijeta i izazvala duboke promjene u društvu, ekonomiji i zdravstvu. U isto vrijeme, dugotrajni sukob u Ukrajini i dalje je ostao neriješen, s geopolitičkim posljedicama. Ova tema istražuje kako su se pandemija i rat u Ukrajini odvijali istovremeno te jednako tako utjecali na tržište nafte. Pandemija je izazvala smanjenje globalne potražnje za naftom, što je utjecalo na cijene nafte i ekonomske uvjete u zemljama koje su ovisile o nafti. Istovremeno, nesigurnost uzrokovana sukobom u Ukrajini dodatno je komplicirala situaciju u svijetu.Jedan od ciljeva diplomskog rada je istražiti kako se ovi događaji isprepliću i oblikuju globalni pejzaž, donoseći sa sobom niz političkih, ekonomskih i društvenih implikacija koje će utjecati na budućnost globalnog tržišta. Istraživanjem u ovom diplomskom radu pokušat ćemo odgovoriti na hipotezu: Covid-19 pandemija i rat u Ukrajini imaju značajan utjecaj na velike oscilacije cijena nafte na tržištu s aspekta stanovništva.
Abstract (english)
The topic of COVID-19, oil, and the war in Ukraine reflects the complex dynamics of global events in recent years. The COVID-19 pandemic, which emerged at the end of 2019, quickly spread worldwide and brought about profound changes in society, the economy, and healthcare. At the same time, the ongoing conflict in Ukraine has remained unresolved, with geopolitical consequences. This theme explores how the pandemic and the war in Ukraine unfolded simultaneously and equally impacted the oil market. The pandemic led to a reduction in global oil demand, affecting oil prices and economic conditions in countries dependent on oil. Meanwhile, the uncertainty caused by the conflict in Ukraine further complicated the global situation. One of the objectives of this graduate thesis is to investigate how these events intersect and shape the global landscape, bringing a range of political, economic, and social implications that will influence the future of the global market. Through research in this graduate thesis, we will attempt to answer the hypothesis: The COVID-19 pandemic and the war in Ukraine have a significant impact on major fluctuations in oil prices on the market from a societal perspective.
